Today was an exciting day for the team. We met the clients for the first time face to face and presented them our work plans. Our sub team - "Flamingo" - did well and our client - Kenyan Education and Research Network (KENET) was very satisfied. We had a big audience: many people from KENET, representatives from different universities and most impressive of all, the Prof. Crispus Kiamba, Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Science and Technology! We definitely are welcome here and there are high expectations to our work. Everyone is working slightly out of our comfort zone, in a new areas but I have to say everyone is really into this. What an opportunity to be a part of this country level development initiative. Sometimes I need to pinch myself to check I am really awake or just dreaming. IBM indeed seems to provide unique and eye opening experiences....
