Discovering the treasures of Kenya

Sunrise in the national park

What a weekend! Have had time to explore the different side of Kenya - National park (Lake Nakuru National Park) and some lakes (Lake Baringo and Bogoria). Kenya has rich nature and animals that can not be seen in Europe. The team did 2 full day trips to close by parks - with 6:30 start in the morning... After thousands of clicks with our cameras, after dozens of "hey, stop I saw something interesting" shouts to our tour guide and after driving the dusty roads we concluded the days with happy smiles and many great memories. After all when anyone thinks of Africa, the animals and national parks are the first ones to come to mind....Right?

HwaYoung, Dave, Michelle, Sugandha, Luigi, Junko, Krishna, Virve and Inna

We saw all major animals (and almost all Big 5) but not an elephant that does not live in these parks we visited. But we did see the following: leopard (very rare, so we very lucky), lion (sleeping in a high grass...), water buffalo, white rhino, hundreds of zebras, many giraffes and antelopes, hippos, crocodiles, baboon, monkey, numerous birds (eg. flamingos and pelicans in the famous flamingo lake)....Could tell you so much more but will let you look at a few pictures and return to the topic later.

Another work week ahead and first interview already at 9am so I better get some rest now. I have often said I want to have some excitement and action in life but now it seems that there is occasionally a bit too much of it. We are constantly doing something - work or fun (not that they could not be in the same package!!?)
